INTERMISSION
We are currently in our Intermission Period, meaning we have a much less maintained, and much more low-key/experimental/buggy modpack on while we await the arrival of the next season.

Our seasonal server is ran off of custom, unique modpacks with specific themes. Lower down in the description, you can find much more details about the server, along with the history of our seasons!
Join the server today, and become an Operator in the U.N.F.O.L.D. Division!
As an operator in our organization, we will treat you as only the most respected employee up to legal obligations! Every once in awhile, when we have a mission for you, you will be tasked with going into a new Domain, where your job is to spread as much activity and societal development as possible.
Lore Background
Every once in awhile, in this wide universe we live in, things go quiet. When things go too quiet, and regions of the universe go inactive, the universe itself tries it's best to correct it. It does this by "folding" in on itself, and creating a Fold, where the rules of reality itself begin to bend and chaos erupts.
The only way to prevent this, that we have found so far, is to accelerate the activity and chaos until it eventually calms down and resets itself, unfolding the domain and restoring order.
Operators of the U.N.F.O.L.D. Division are sent to Folded Domains to stir up activity, until eventually everything goes quiet. At that point, we know the domain has stabilized. Then, we will retreat from the domain and leave you dormant until we need you for another mission.
Don't forget to tip your Overseer!

The following concepts are important to us:
- Player interaction
- Creativity
- Roleplay
- Economy Balancing
- Paced Progression
Player Interaction
The purpose of the server, primarily, is to have fun with friends and new people alike. The purpose is not to "game the system" by speedrunning progression, automating everything, and making 10 billion dollars; sure, you can do that, but it isn't the POINT of the server.
If you are not interacting with people and having fun, you're likely not going to get the intended experience.
Some things we do to promote player interaction:
- Creating Seasonal "Gimmicks" where people are put in certain roles, I.E. The King/Regents/The Elites/The Domain/Chimera etc.
- Creating a semi-daily news article of all the most interesting events in the server, posted through our Discord Server.
- Promoting teamwork through the gameplay and modpack design.
So don't be afraid to interact with people you don't know, and we strongly encourage you to invite a friend to play with you!
Creativity
We like to implement mods and features that breed creativity. Building and roleplay mods are great examples of this.
We also like to implement restrictions that breed creativity. For example, restrictions around technology, automation, or resources. We believe that restrictions, when done right, can force you to be much more creative, and adopt much more interesting strategies through problem solving.
Roleplay
We love to encourage people to roleplay...to a degree. This server is not PRIMARILY a roleplay server, meaning there are no rules, protections, or guidelines around "metagaming", or "remaining in character". In fact, no one is expected to play a character. This is not an ish video...
However, we do encourage people to form nations, teams, get into beef (as long as it remains fun), create treaties, establish deals...etc. And we will often implement mods or policies to allow people to persue this better.
Economy Balancing
We try to avoid any scenario where one person can speedrun progression, and then essentially play the game for everyone else and cause the whole server to skip important game steps.
We prefer to do this through the design of the pack itself, not through regulation. So, nothing is inherently stopping you from trading when it comes to server rules. However, resources can be more difficult than usual to come across, and more often than not, important resources are designed to be nearly impossible to MASS manufacture.
Paced Progression
We do not design these packs, or the server itself, around gameplay styles that are based off of intense, laser-focused, tunnel-vision speedrunning and technological progress. If you reach an issue with progression on the server, and you have progressed way further ahead of everyone else through tunnel-visioning and only focusing on item progression, don't expect a fix to the issue keeping you from progressing to be immediate.
We will not actively accomodate speedrunners, though we will not stop you either. Just be aware, that if you run into an issue because of your speedrunning, we won't speedrun to help you. We will get to it when we can.

Simplified Rules:
- Be Respectful
- Avoid NSFW/18+ Content
- Limit politics/arguments
- No Unsolicited Advertising
- Do not bypass claims
- No griefing
- No hacking/cheating/exploiting
- No forbidden mods
Basic Rules
Be Respectful
We aren't forcing you to get along, but if you just bring conflict, frustration, or ruin the vibe, we're not gonna hesitate to get rid of you
NSFW
Any kind of sexual/NSFW imagery, and edgey content (like gore, hate-bait, or shock videos) do not belong here.
Limit politics or arguments
While we don't plan on being obnoxiously obtuse about people getting into political debates, it's not the purpose for the server and doesn't fit here. So, just know that if you get into a big argument or debate on something, you might be shutdown.
No unsolicited advertising.
All "advertising" or linking to other servers must be approved by an Administrator first. (Approval can be overridden by StarmaKarma)
Do not bypass claims
Abusing a glitch in any form to steal from/grief another player's claim that you don't have access to, will be automatically considered griefing, and is absolutely not tolerated.
Dont GRIEF people
We're not gonna be overly strict with what you can do on the server, if both parties involved find it fun and harmless, go for it. But be careful, because if you and up griefing or stealing from someone, and they report you and are clearly uncool with it, that's real griefing. Don't steal or grief unless you already know without a doubt that they're a friend who's chill with it.
No Exploits / Unauthorized Mods
Abusing an exploit, or refusing to report an exploit could get you suspended or banned, as it just shows a lack of trustworthiness. Below can be found a list of explicitly forbidden mods from adding to your client, no questions asked. If you want to make sure you can use a clientside mod, ask.
Details on Griefing Policy
Don't ruin people's fun
-
If you steal/kill/grief something that you have access to...you are not in charge of what they can or cannot do in response; the "victim" has FULL authority to play along ONLY as much as they wish, and has full right to sieze back whatever was taken from them, or report you to Admins/Moderators as needed.
-
If you are actively CRIPPLING someone's ability to progress with how much you are affecting them, you are likely violating this rule, and will more than likely end up being punished.
-
Avoid, as much as possible, anything that is irrepairable by normal, survival mode means...or very annoying to do so; such as killing farm animals.
Forbidden Mods
Using any of these will either earn you a restriction of some kind, a suspension, or an actual ban if necessary. Also, use common sense as to what mods you can and cannot add. If you want to be safe, ask us if you can use the mod you're concerned about.
- Any XRAY Mod/Resourcepack
- Any Fullbright/Gamma adjustment mod/resourcepack
- Any free-cam mod
- Any Mob radar, that shows you where mobs are
- Anything that is specifically rejected by an @Administrator.
- Practical shaders (Shaders that either break the core lighting mechanics, or change the lighting in such a way that it assists you by making things way brighter or way more obvious.)
Allowed Mods
If you have anything that you feel warrants an exception to any of these categories, ask an Admin. Do NOT just silently decide that you can add it without consulting anyone.
- Purely cosmetic mods, that have 0 practical function, like mods that change the font or change how player skins are modeled
- Replay Mods
- Distant Horizons
- Zoomify / Similarly simple zoom function mods
- Purely cosmetic shaders (Shaders that don't break the core lighting mechanics, and just make things look a bit prettier without changing everything in a practical way.)
- Shaders that just function to make ores glow a tiny bit are okay
- Litematica
- Anything that is specifically approved by an Administrator.

Consistent themes we use to develop our modpacks:
- Deleting and replacing vanilla progression mechanics with modded ones
- Tying together all of the major mods of the modpack to the main progression
- Slow, methodical progression
- Alternative progression paths to accomodate different playstyles
- Consistent, rewarding steps throughout progression
- Keeping the player from being OP as long as possible
- Encouraging the player to cooperate with other players
Overhaul
Ever frustrated because a new, interesting, and fun armor added by a mod is made useless and irrelevant by mere iron armor? Well...we certainly have been before.
Unfold modpacks are built around the concept of "Overhauling". We want to create as new of an experience as possible, and we do this by deleting the original vanilla progression and replacing it with custom-planned modded progression!
This typically manifests in the armor progression, where you are forced to play the game throughout various stages of armor progression; no longer do you just speedrun iron armor in 10 minutes, then get full diamond in 50 minutes, and proceed to play with full diamond throughout the entire game.

Seasonal History
Season 6: Eclipsed
Season 5: Nuclear Winter
Season 4: Pirate's Domain
Employee of the Month: OhStorm__
Pirate's Domain
The theme of Unfold IV was, believe it or not...pirates. It was a strange mix of...pirates...and...pirates. Pirates. Yargh. Key mods were Create, Small Ships, Aquamirae, and Immersive Engineering.
Social Gimmick
Season 4 was the first time we experimented with a server-managed Social Gimmick, where we host an event or competition for people to participate in. The Social Gimmick in question was the Build Competition. Each week, StarmaKarma would go around with a large and obnoxious checklist of hard to meet qualifications and 'inspect' players builds to determine whether or not they were eligible for a Waystone. The winner of this was OhStorm__, who made a brilliant recreation of the KrustyKrab, earning him Employee of the Month!
Key Nations
- The UPS returned...this time, they abandoned anarcho-communism and embraced the glory of anarcho-capitalism! Rebranding as the United Pirate's Society, they based their economy around free trade and trading cards!
- The Krusty Krab was a city-state, and by city-state, i mean it was a singular building and a corporation. And by corporation, I mean a singular 'human' being. OhStormm__, Employee of the Month for Pirate's Domain, ran the Krusty Krab where he sold "Krabby Patties". He used large factory farming in order to achieve this, and claims to have used a special "Secret Formula" to make them more addictive. The Krusty Krab maintained close trade relations to the UPS.
- The Umbrella Corp

Season 3: Bullets & Bolts
Employee of the Month: Craziz
Bullets & Bolts
The theme of Unfold III was "Bullets & Bolts". It was a strange mix of Magic/Guns/Tech. This was when we were first experimenting with thematic packs, so the themework was not very strong. The Questline was built around the concept of the "UFD Wrestling Team".
Key Nations
- New Rome returned for the 2nd time, creating a great capitol, becoming an industrial power house. They held a meeting which prominent player MaxBitesTheDust made a video on, which is linked at the very bottom of this description page!
- Neo-Hunni-Highway, a "Hunni" empire built on a rivalry to New Rome, ran and populated by one man; Craziz. He singlehandedly brought the server to the nuclear age, though that nuclear age did not expand out of his empire. For his massive technological progress, being the only one to create a working Nuclear Reactor, he earned Employee of The Month for this season.
Season 2: Olden Times
Olden Times
The theme of Unfold II was Light-Fantasy. Although, the title of this season is retro-active. Originally, the pack was just simply "Unfold II". This was the very first modpack that we experimented with overhauling gameplay by deleting the vanilla armors. This pack was almost exclusively developed by MicroFiber, a co-founder and important Administrator of the server.
Season 1: Unfold
Unfold
Unfold was our first published pack, published so that we could easily update the modpack and make maintenence much easier for everyone.
The biggest feature of the modpack was Origins, along with several Origins expansions...most of which broke the game...terribly. Alex's Caves and Vinery were prominent in the server, with the season ending in our first ever "Anarchy Finale Day", which promptly destroyed the entire server with a massive amount of Nukes hoarded by "The Pit"
Key Nations
- The UPS (United Posadist States) was a Posadist collection of independent states, organized by StarmaKarma of the smaller city of Wineden. Their goal was to horde nuclear weapons to bring nuclear apocalypse, in the hopes of achieving Anarcho-Communism.
- The Pit was a cult organization who's only mission was to expand a massive pit. That's it, they just wanted to make a giant hole. They did. They also hoarded massive nuclear weapons, more than the posadists somehow. They use the Nukes to make a bigger hole. There's really not much else to say about this they just made a big hole.
Season -1
Season -1
Season -1 was a still using an imported modpack instance. It was a small pack, but key additions were Create and Ad Astra.
Key Nations
- The Mederian Union, also known as Medera, was a sea-fairing union built on trade and Granola Bars. It was the largest nation, and made a massive factory dedicated solely to the automated manufacturing of Granola Bars. They had a culture dedicated to liking Granola Bars.
- Kolderhad was a small industrial factory state which found itself in a tight Space-Race with the Mederian Union. The Mederian Union eventually won this space race by being the first to travel outside of the Solar System. However, it is worth noting that Kolderhad was the first to land on the Moon, kickstarting the Space Race in it's entirety.

Season -2
Season -2
Not much is really preserved of Season -2, this was the first real season of the server, expanding from a fun experiment for a few friends in a private server, to it's own dedicated project. There was no theme, the modpack was entirely custom-added to a forge client, and the amount of mods was incredibly short. Though, Create was the biggest addition.
Key Nations
- The New Roman Republic (NRR) was a state founded and led by three Consuls; StarmaKarma, MaxBitesTheDust, and RussSir.
